Psychedelics and the future of therapy

my certifications and trainings

A renewed understanding of psychedelics and plant medicines as a way for us to better understand ourselves has brought hope for those who have not responded to traditional Western psychiatry and psychotherapy.

I have experienced tremendous healing from sitting with psychedelic medicines in ceremonial settings, including MDMA, psilocybin, ketamine, ayahuasca, San Pedro, and 5-MEO-DMT.

As psychedelic therapy continues to show positive results in clinical trials, I look forward to these treatments becoming approved by the FDA so that mental health practitioners can begin incorporating them into the mental health regimen of our clients.

Additionally, in December of 2018, I trained with Dr. Phil Wolfson at The Ketamine Training Center and am now certified in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP).

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy is a treatment for individuals seeking healthier and more satisfying lives, and has been shown to be effective for issues ranging from depression and anxiety to trauma and PTSD.

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy can also be an effective process for enhancing depth psychotherapy, working with challenging life transitions, psycho-spiritual difficulties, facilitating psychedelic integration, and enhancing an overall sense of wellbeing.

In May of 2019, I also completed the first part of the MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) training for MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD. While MDMA-therapy is still in clinical trials, we are hopeful that this treatment will soon become available to the general public.
